Business Forums

Currently, there are two distinct groups whose activities the Chamber helps facilitate - our home-based and non-profit members, who have uniques needs by nature of their operations. Visit their websites below to learn more about them.

Chamber Non-Profit Forum
Sponsored by:
Delaware Association of Non-Profit Agencies
Speaker:
Nancy Hall, 501(c) Solutions
If change is happening faster on the outside than it is on the inside, the end is in sight.
- Jack Welch
This presentation will address the many changes occurring on the outside of non-profit agencies: cuts in government spending, increases in joblessness and a parallel rise in demand for nonprofits' services, and donor hesitancy due to an uncertain business climate. The nonprofit that thinks things will return to normal may well see the end in sight.
This session will provide detailed information on the causes and effects of the above changes: what non-profits need to know about the Health Care Affordability Act and other regulatory changes that will impact operations. Speaker Nancy Hall will highlight changes non-profits need to make now in order to have success in the new economy, and discuss how to take advantage of new opportunities: the health care credit,
the hiring credit, and what the non-profit owner needs to know about mergers and shared services.
