New Castle County is the northernmost county in Delaware, a state that is the legal home to over half a million businesses and over 50% of the Fortune 500. The U.S. Small Business Administration, which aids, counsels, assists and advocates in the interests of the state’s small business community, utilizing a variety of business development programs and resources. The Small Business Resource Partnership provides Delaware small businesses with easy access to all providers of business information, services and assistance. As a consortium of federal, state and non-profit agencies with programs that benefit small and growing businesses, the partnership is designed to facilitate communication both among its members, and within the small business community.

The Delaware Manufacturing Extension Partnership (DEMEP) helps strengthen manufacturers by assessing their needs and opportunities, identifying appropriate human and financial resources, and creating and managing successful partnerships to improve quality, productivity and profitability.

With a special combination of manufacturing expertise and access to many local, regional and national resources, the DEMEP helps manufacturers to increase sales and reduce costs.
