Delaware's Colleges and Universities Unite to Educate Local Businesses
All of Delaware’s major universities and colleges have come together and formed a consortium to provide business education to New Castle County ’s business and entrepreneur community.
The program, branded as Chamber “U”, will feature monthly classes, workshops and seminars aimed at giving businesses and budding entrepreneurs the practical information they need to succeed in business. Participating in Chamber “U” will be: the University of Delaware, Delaware State University, Wilmington University , Delaware Technical and Community College, Wesley College and Goldey Beacom College .
According to New Castle County Chamber of Commerce President, Mark Kleinschmidt, “we are very excited about this new program. Our businesses are always thirsty for any and all knowledge that will help them succeed. This program will also be geared to addressing the business education needs of entrepreneurs we attract to our business incubator program, The Emerging Enterprise Center”
Kleinschmidt went on to say that, “Chamber ‘U’ represents a major commitment by our higher education institutions to the business community and we are very pleased to be partnering with them in this effort. I especially want to thank Wilmington University for their leadership and initiative in pulling this program together.”
Chamber “U” classes will be held the 4th Tuesday of every month, beginning April 22, at the New Castle County Chamber of Commerce offices located at 12 Penns Way, Corporate Commons, New Castle.
