- According to IDC (International Data Corp) Nationwide, the number of HBBs
may range from 18 milliion to 36.6 million
- In 2002 the U.S. Bureau of Labor & Statistics estimated there were more
than 18.3m HBBs in the United States
- In 2002 Newsweek Magazine reported that by the year 2005, it's anticipated
that 50% of the households in the U.S. will be involved in a HBB
- About 70% of HBBs will last over a 3 year period, compared to 29% of other
business ventures, according to the Home-Based Institute
- Entrepreneur Magazine estimates that $427
billion is generated each year by HBBs. (That's
