And How Can I Find New Cheese? Presenter: Dr. Patricia M. Buhler, Professor of Management, Goldey-Beacom College 7:30 to 9 a.m. One of the few certainties in our world is change. We can be sure that few things will remain the same. And the pace of change in the world is only accelerating. success depends more and more on the ability to manage change, embrace change, and even create change. This workshop provides an opportunity for participants to view the video, "Who Moved My Cheese?" Based on Spencer Johnson's bestseller of the same name, change is examined from a unique perspective. In this hands-on, highly interactive workshop, participants will have an opportunity to gain some insights into their own view of change. Who Should Attend? This workshop will provide value to those who want to learn to see more opportunities in change and those individuals who want to help their organizations learn to better deal with change. Anyone dealing with change either personally or professionally will find the workshop helpful. About the Presenter: Pat Buhler is a professor of management at Goldey-Beacom College in Wilmington, Delaware. Teaching there since 1989, she serves as the faculty advisor for the student chapter of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM). Pat teaches in the graduate and undergraduate programs specializing in the upper management, human resource managment, and strategy courses. She has received the institution's Excellence in Teaching Award twice, was named to Who's Who Among America's Teachers twice, earned the institution's Service Award in 2004, and was promoted to full professor in 2007. In addition, Pat was the 2005 recipient of the Ron Shane Lifetime Achievement Award for Human Resources by the Delaware chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management. Pat is the owner of Buhler Business Consultants, a management consulting firm operating for over 18 years. Her clients have included MBNA, the Internal Revenue Service, Wilmington Trust, and Columbia Gas. She has also worked with the boards of trustees for non-profit community organizations in strategic planning. She has been a contributing editor for Supervision magazine since 1992, writing bi-monthly columns entitled "Managing in the New Millennium". Pat is also author of over 125 articles and has published two books.
