Mary Sheldon, Vice President of Business Development for Christiana Bank & Trust, was recognized at the Ambassador of the Year for 2006.   Each year, 21 Ambassadors compete for points in a friendly competition while helping to maintain strong member relations, recruit new members, help orient the newest Chamber members, and to assist staff with membership retention.

      The Ambassadors are the “Membership” committee of the Chamber, a subcommittee of the Membership Services Department. A distinguished, hard working and fun-loving group of professionals, who welcome new members, maintain and expand the membership and generally promote a positive image in the community.

     The Ambassador committee assists in Grand Openings, Groundbreakings, Anniversaries and other ribbon-cutting ceremonies. This committee also maintains and fosters the communication process with the Chamber’s new members and existing membership. We do monthly surveys to maintain the level and improve the satisfaction of our new and current members who are up for renewal.
