Entrepreneurship & Small Business Growth
Small businesses are the life blood of our county. The Chamber is dedicated to supporting our local startup and small business community through education, programming, and our non-profit small business incubator the Emerging Enterprise Center.
Innovation & Creative Economies
The Chamber works in conjunction with key partners to continue to position Delaware, with a focus on New Castle County, as a leading innovation and creative hub. We host industry focused events, spotlight innovators, provide funding sources, and support the businesses, and innovators, who shaping our future.
Workforce Development
The Chamber seeks to facilitate the creation of effective workforce development partnerships among local employers, educators, and academic institutions to help Delaware scale training programs to meet the needs of in-demand jobs through training, retention, and attraction of highly skilled talent.
Infrastructure
Infrastructure is infused into all aspects of what makes New Castle County the ideal place to live, work, and play. The Chamber focuses on areas that have economic development potential and works with owners, contractors, and local and state officials to assess possibilities.

FEBRUARY
Economic Forecast
This annual event features one of the Mid-Atlantic region’s most recognizable economists, Dr. Anirban Basu, Chairman & CEO of Sage Policy Group, Inc. Dr. Basu recaps the economic activities of the previous year and discusses the potential outlook for Delaware’s economy in the upcoming year. The Economic Forecast Luncheon has become quite popular and often sells out.
JULY
State of the County
This event is an opportunity for members, business leaders, and the general public to hear first-hand updates about current and future investments being made in our communities from local officials, developers, agencies, and organizations.
Economic Development Council
The Economic Development Council is a non-governmental entity that supports businesses in four key areas – Entrepreneurship and Small Business Growth, Innovation and Creative Economy, Workforce Development, and Infrastructure.

Business Incubator
The Chamber’s Emerging Enterprise Center offers early stage companies 5,000 square feet of available space, mentorship, education, office amenities, networking, funding opportunities, and connections needed for success.
