Administrative Professionals Breakfast - April 24
The Chamber will host a special recognition breakfast for all the Administrative Professionals who contribute so much to our member companies. The “Administrative Professionals Breakfast,” is held in conjunction with the Delaware Chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP) where the Administrative Professional of the Year Award is presented. The breakfast is attended by over 200 people.
Annual Dinner & Networking Mixer - March 18
The Chamber is changing the format and the location of its Annual Dinner for 2013. In order to accommodate growing interest in the Annual Dinner and allow more people to experience the Chamber’s largest annual event, we will be moving to the Bob Carpenter Center in Newark. The theme for this year’s dinner is “Celebrating the Entrepreneurial Spirit” and we are pleased to have Daymond John, the star of the hit TV show Shark Tank, as our guest speaker. This will provide a memorable evening for our sponsors
and all those who attend. In the past, 500 people have attended the Annual Dinner and we are projecting between 750 and 1,000 in 2013. The Annual Dinner will be held on March 18th and we will continue our tradition of honoring several chamber members with the Wallace Johnson Award for community service, the Senator William V. Roth Scholarship to a deserving high school student, and the Free Enterprise Award to a public official who has demonstrated a strong support for business.

Business Women’s Expo- November 14
This popular event provides educational opportunities for attendees while expanding foot traffic for sponsors and vendors. The Expo is designed to motivate and inspire business women at all levels, build lasting relationships, and embrace all opportunities! Attendees, exhibitors and sponsors are provided with endless networking opportunities, outstanding educational workshops, a business resource center and motivational programs. There are over 120 exhibitors and over 700 attendees.
Chamber Awards Luncheon - May 9
Celebrate business success by honoring the Entrepreneur of the Year with the County Chamber! Each year, the Chamber recognizes a local business owner who has not only succeeded with their business, but has demonstrated that the entrepreneurial spirit is alive and well in New Castle County. The Entrepreneurial Advocate of the Year and several other recognition awards are also presented. The lunch attracts over 300 attendees.
Chamber Charity Golf Outing- September 24
In 2013, the Chamber will be holding its 8th annual fall golf outing at Deerfield Country Club. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to a Chamber nonprofit. Past recipients have included the United Way, member fire departments, Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition, Ovarian Cancer Foundation, Bear Babe Ruth Little League and Habitat for Humanity of New Castle County.
Chamberpalooza II - January 31
To help kick off the New Year and support the activities of the Emerging Enterprise Center, the Chamber was pleased to host a trip to Margaritaville with Jimmy and Parrots. Click HERE for a photo gallery of the event.
